This site of COATNET informs about the situation in the Czech Republic concerning trafficking in women.

Made for those of you, who are not indifferent to this human tragedy.

The phenomenon of trafficking in women increased markedly in Czech Republic after the velvet revolution in 1989. Many Czech women are trafficked into countries of Western Europe; now organised crime brings foreign women to the Czech Republic, mainly from countries of the former Soviet union. The Czech Republic is also a transit country through which women are transported to the places of their final destination in Western Europe.

  • The Czech national site of COATNET offers information about legislation that strives for prevention and shows this phenomenon in view of criminal law regulations
  • Coatnet Czech can mediate contact for organisations that focus their efforts to help trafficked women and fight against trafficking in women. I need help
