COATNET partners represent anti-trafficking organisations in countries of origin, transit and destination countries, and work
for prevention, protection, in reintegration and advocacy for trafficked persons. Within COATNET they aim at improving information
and experience exchange between specialists, consolidating resources and co-ordinating partner activities in the following
four directions

ASSISTANCE to trafficked persons

- provision of direct cross-border user-to-user contacts enabling direct cooperation in assistance
- maintenance of a database of Christian organisations providing assistance to trafficked persons
- development of principles for trans-national cooperation in assistance provision
- users’ capacity building in assistance provision

|
PREVENTION and AWARENESS RAISING
|
|
|
- collection, assessment and information sharing on prevention activities of users
- operation of a specialised awareness website
|
|
|
ADVOCACY
|
|
|
- the joint advocacy position serves a basis for regular comments submission to relevant legislation and acts under preparation
on European and International levels
- promotion of advocacy action around EU Experts Group report and Council of Europe Convention on action against trafficking
in human beings
- advocacy capacity building of users

|
NETWORKING and COOPERATION
|
|
|
- aims at improving trans-national assistance and protection for trafficked persons and at more effective advocacy
- is supported through a common users’ information exchange portal (extranet)
- is developed with other religious organisations (eg, project Christian Action and Networking against Trafficking
- with other International anti-trafficking networks
