The first speaker at the seminar was Martina Liebsch, Caritas Europa Migration Commission President, Member of EU Expert Group
on human trafficking, who gave a general presentation of the Convention to approximately 100 participants that attended the
event.

The definition of human trafficking as a criminal offence and repressive policies against traffickers were explained by Natalia
Kovaliv, COATNET Coordinating Officer.

The third speaker was Suzanna Tcalec from CRS/EME, Zagreb, who described policies ensuring assistance to victims of trafficking

Gabriela Chiroiu, Counter-Trafficking Project Manager from Caritas Bucharest Association, provided the evaluation of policies

The last speaker was Ivonne van de Kar from SRTV (Dutch Religious against Trafficking), who shared her experience of developing
policies promoting the evolution of mentalities.
