Albania,
together with other governmental and non-governmental organizations, has developed a child protection safety network “All
Together against Child Trafficking” (Albanian abbreviation “BKTF”). The overall leitmotif of the Coalition is to act with
determination and devotion in accordance with the principle “the best interest of the child”.

BKTF has chosen June – the time of the Parliamentary elections
in
Albania
-
for advocating for the protection of vulnerable Albanian children, by making the political parties important actors in this
process. While lobbying with political parties, BKTF tended to convince them to include child protection policies and actions
in their programs as well as in their yearly financial budget plans. The awareness raising campaign carried out by BKTF aims
to increase public awareness about the exploitation of the children who work and live in the streets, to inform the public
on the basic rights negated to those children, and on the alternatives offered to them in order to be protected from exploitation
and abuse.
